Steve believes that the art of Self-Defense, Krav Maga, can be learnt by anyone regardless of age, gender, and fitness level. Self Defense is meant to be simple and intuitive. The requirements are simply an open mind and a willingness to learn.
As a coach, Steve is one who asks for excellence through effort. He maintains that the right way to train is through progressive overload but he is equally firm on keeping the training fun and light-hearted. Steve’s training philosophy is one of having serious fun, with an end goal in mind to gain practical Self-Defense skills and improving oneself physically and mentally; and his Krav Maga training is complemented by his years of experience in sports boxing, both in tournament ring and as a coach.
Steve has been appraised by his student as a patient and jovial instructor. He is always able to equip even the most inexperienced students with the right sets of skills and physical conditioning. This is no doubt facilitated by his diploma in sports science, through which Steve understands the technicalities of the human body and is able to tap on each student’s natural strengths and weaknesses to fulfill his or her potential.
