Master Instructor
A man with a fiery passion for martial arts & Realistic Self-Defence, Coach G.L is a Master Instructor with Protect-Israel and Chief Instructor of Protect Krav Maga Training Centre in Singapore & Asia Region. His passion has led him into different fields of martial arts, and he has achieved much in almost every field he has explored. Coach G.L have trained in 12 different styles of martial arts like Muay Thai, Boxing, Sanda, Combat Kickboxing, MMA, Karate etc.., and was currently Certified Senior Muay Thai Instructor, Taekwondo 6th Dan Instructor, Sanda Trainer, Combat Kickboxing Instructor, Ted Wong Jeet Kune Do Authorized Coach and Master Instructor of Protect Krav Maga. Coach G.L have total of 38 Pro & Amateur competition record in MuayThai/Sanda/Full-Contact Kickboxing/Taekwondo/Karate locally and internationally.
The biggest difference between Coach G.L and other self-defence instructor is the real life experiences with violence. He came from a very rough background and experienced many violence during his lifetime in the streets and working in the security line. He faced many life threatening situations during those times.
Due to his real life experiences, he understood on what violence is all about and how it feels when being attacked by weapons or multiple attackers.
For many years, Coach G.L searched for different self-defence and Krav Maga trainers that could give him full assurance that the training and techniques are effective to defend himself and others during real violent scenarios. However, he was disappointed by all the unrealistic training. Until one day, someone from Israel introduced him to Master Itay Gil. Ever since then, he has been studying the real Hardcore and No-Bullshit Krav Maga by Master Itay Gil.
Coach G.L decided to bring this system back to Singapore to spread and empower everyone with Protect Krav Maga System to save as many life as possible!
Coach G.L has trained & taught Krav Maga for over 15 years. He was certified Krav Maga Instructor since 2010 and he was appointed to be the Chief Instructor of Protect Krav Maga Training Centre in Singapore and on 2017 he was certified as Protect Krav Maga Master Instructor & Executive Protection Course Instructor under Dr. Itay Gil, He was also appointed to lead the Federation of Israeli Martial Arts Singapore branch as Chief Instructor & Director.
Coach GL when for intensive specialized course with Dr. Itay Gil and was certified Military & Law Enforcement Krav Maga Instructor. Coach GL was also promoted to 4th Dan Krav Maga Master(one of the highest rank globally given by Itay Gil) at year 2023. Coach GL and the Protect Team was appointed to be the Protect Krav Maga Asia representative and will be leading the Asia region to conduct Protect Krav Maga system for Civilian, Military, Law Enforcement, VIP Protection & Security.
Currently Coach GL is the Chief Military Krav Maga Instructor of a Military unit in Singapore.
