8 Youths Arrested for Serial Robbery
Low crime doesn’t mean no crime. Equip yourself with realistic self defence skills, and sign up for our Krav Maga classes today! According to the Straits Times today (4th April 2012):
Police have arrested eight youths aged between 13 to 15 suspected to be involved in a series of robberies committed at Hougang and Pasir Ris housing estates.
They are believed to have committed more than five robberies and would assault their victims before snatching valuables from them.
The reports were made between March 10 and April 2. The valuables stolen included cash and mobile phones.

[News] Serial Armed Robber Arrested
Protect yourself from the armed robberies that can occur anytime, anywhere.
Police have arrested a 28-year-old man who is believed to be involved in a series of armed robberies and snatch thefts committed in Ang Mo Kio and Potong Pasir housing estates.
Between 10 November 2011 and 2 January 2012, Police received several reports of armed robbery cases that were committed by an unknown man inside the lifts of the housing estates. In these cases, the suspect reportedly followed lone female victims into the lifts before brandishing a knife and demanding for the victims’ valuables once the lift doors were closed.
[News] SJI student stabbed to death in Jakarta
Knife attacks are very common threats on the streets, as knives are very easily available and no training is required for its use.
From the Straits Times, 9th December 2011:
An Indonesian student from St Joseph’s Institution (SJI) was stabbed to death in Jakarta while on a trip home to visit his family.
A report in The Jakarta Post on Thursday said Christopher Melky Tanujaya, 16, was attacked on Monday at a bus shelter in Penjaringan, North Jakarta.
